The Parishad is responsible for performing following activities:

1. Providing certificate of registration
2. Maintenance of the live register of practitioners separately
3. Hear and decide the appeals and complaints
4. Take disciplinary action against practitioners
5. Action taken on the complaint of quackery
6. Redressal of public grievance
7. Provide information under Right to information act
8. Publication of list
9. Action taken on the decisions taken by Parishad
10. Public relation and co-ordination
11. CME programmes for  awareness of the practitioners
12. Awareness to the general public
