The Parishad is responsible for performing following activities:
- Providing certificate of registration
- Maintenance of the live register of practitioners separately
- Hear and decide the appeals and complaints
- Take disciplinary action against practitioners
- Action taken on the complaint of quackery
- Redressal of public grievance
- Provide information under Right to Information Act
- Publication of list
- Action taken on the decisions taken by Parishad
- Public relation and co-ordination
- CME programmes for awareness of the practitioners
- Awareness to the general public
